We interact with people at work, school and home. You work with them, have meetings with them and eat lunch with them. They make you laugh but sometimes they piss you off. They lie to you, gossip about you, don’t show up on time or cancel meetings last minute. They drive you nuts.
Recently, I felt a little down by some flaky people. But soon, I remembered a piece of advice that I got from my old co-worker. He told me, “Kristy, you didn’t do anything wrong. There are just some people that don’t like you, and they don’t need to have special reasons to dislike you. Just accept the fact that you cannot control other people. Stay positive and control your mind. Once you lose control on your own mind, you are letting them ruin your day.”
