Back to my hometown

I am back to my home country, South Korea!

Tomorrow is Jeongwol Daeboreum (The First Full-Moon Day)

In the morning, Korean people eat a lot of ‘Bureom’ which are nuts, such as pine nuts, chestnuts, peanuts and walnuts. Our ancestors believed that while eating ‘Bureom’, if people made loud noises, evil spirits would run away.

These are the main menus for Jeongwol Daeboreum,  (special rice with mixed ingredients + vegetable side dishes) I don’t believe in superstitions but it is a great opportunity to eat healthy foods. I guess this is one of the most healthiest foods in the world, especially for vegetarians!
